Hated it: a pain to clean, especially the straps and tray, and unsuited to high dining tables, so they sold it.

“Hated it and not made for high dining tables. It is such a pain to clean especially the straps and the tray. I sold it and went the traditional route instead.”
negativehard to clean

Cannot recommend it: the foot rest and straps are hard to adjust, the tray is bumpy and hard to clean, and food collects in nooks, though it is sturdy and pretty.

“The tray is bumpy so can’t suction anything to it. The bottom of the tray is hard to clean.”

Loves their two Tripp Trapps: a 4-year-old still uses one, it grows with the child and is ergonomic and easy to clean.

“I love mine, I have 2. My 4 year old still sits in it for meals, and it will continue to grow with him until he can fit comfortably in”

Says it depends: the baby seat and straps are a pain to clean, but it fits decor, pulls up to the table and grows with the child.

“The baby seat is imo the worst part of the chair, the straps are a pain to clean, and you can’t just hose down the whole chair”

Finds it sturdy, minimal in footprint and attractive; their 3.5-year-old still uses it and they bought a second for a newborn.

“sturdy, takes minimal room, and is aesthetically pleasing”

Loves it with no cushion, harness or tray, so their son sits at the table; buying a second for the next baby.

“We use the Tripp Trapp, no cushion, no harness, no tray (son has never attempted to get out - we have it ready to install if he ever starts).”

Did not like the Tripp Trapp at all: not comfortable, not easy to use and annoying straps.

“and it is not easy to use. The straps are also annoying.”
negativehard to set up

Loves the Tripp Trapp; the only drawback is that the straps are hard to adjust.

“We love our Tripp trapp. only drawback is the straps. They are so hard to adjust to get the right fit.”
positive

Hated the old Tripp Trapp's straps and sold it, then bought the new version with the improved harness and now loves it.

“We had the old Tripp Trapp and hated it. The new one with the new baby set (v2) is sooooo much better. We had a Tripp Trapp, hated the straps”

Advises against it: once solids start it is impossible to get clean, so they had to buy both a tray and a Catchy.

“I spend so long every day cleaning the thing and it’s never fully clean, food just adheres to it like super glue.”

Their nearly four-year-old still uses it and they plan a second, but the harness straps were hard to detach and snap back when covered in food.

“I have the Tripp trapp and my almost 4 year old still uses it for a chair at the table. I’m planning to buy another for baby #2. Back when”

Hates the Tripp Trapp because it is terrible to take apart and rebuild with the baby set and cushion; it feels designed to look good rather than be easy to use.

“we have the tripp trap and I honestly hate it :( not really because of cleaning but it’s terrible to take apart and put back together with the baby attachment,”
negativehard to set up

Loves the Tripp Trapp, skipping padding and attachments, with zero cleaning issues using a third-party tray.

“I love our Tripp Trapp. We never bothered with any of the padding or attachments, just the tray”
positiveeasy to clean

A fan: it shoves completely under the table when not in use and is quality wood that stays good for ages; bought secondhand.

“when baby is not on it, it shoves completely under the table (even with the tray) and it's out of the way.”

Calls the Tripp Trapp fine but not a favourite; particularly hates the harness, and would look at other high chairs next time.

“I have a Tripp trapp. It’s fine, not my favorite for reasons other have covered. I particularly hate the harness”
mixedflimsy

Loves the Tripp Trapp because it grows with the child.

“We went with Tripp trapp which we love as it grows with the kid and looks good”

Found the Tripp Trapp expensive with annoying straps, a tray that won't suction and hard to clean; prefers IKEA.

“Trip trapp is so expensive, the straps are such a pain, the tray’s material is textured so the suction doesn’t work, and it’s just not the easiest to clean.”
